Over the years, I've tried several diets and juice cleanses. Yet those last 5-10 lbs still aren't budging. One plan I'd never considered, however, is Jenny Craig. Sure, Valerie Bertinelli looks awesome. But I like eating fresh food, so I'm not a fan of having to rely on the brand's packaged meals.

Like me, she tried the Master cleanse and no-and-low carb diets. God bless ya if those work for you, but drinking juices or spicy lemonade all day and not being able to have a sliver of bread makes me feel crazy. While on Jenny Craig, the actress lost about 1 to 2 lbs. a week. Nicole says the regimen promotes "safe, healthy, moderate weight loss."
Along with portion control and adding as many fruits and veggies as you like to your meals, the plan encourages you to walk 10,000 steps a day starting with two days a week.
"It got challenging. But not hard," she adds. "I ate. I walked and I lost weight."
Once she accomplished her goal weight of 124 lbs, Nicole enlisted Bertinelli's trainer Christopher Lane to pump her up. She worked with Lane once or twice a week for four weeks to tone-up by incorporating at home exercises such as squats, lunges, push-ups, and sit-ups.
While I ponder that call, I'd like to hear from my Everything She Wants readers. Have you tried Jenny Craig or a similar weight loss program? If so, drop me a line and share your story.
Hi, I have called Jenny! :) Like you, I also avoided processed foods and things like High Fructose Corn Syrup. I also love to cook. So it's definitely a challenge for me to eat something out of the box. But, it's not forever, and I am losing weight. The first week (I cheated and had champagne and wine the first three days) I lost 1.5 pounds. I am starting week 2 tomorrow. So far, so good. And btw, I haven't seen MSG or HFCS on the box ingredients so far, which is good. K.
